Our faculty welcomed back alumni who successfully completed their studies in 1976. Returning to academic grounds after 50 years, the Golden Graduation ceremony was filled with the joy of reunions.
More than 180 graduates gathered for the solemn ceremony in the Dionýz Ilkovič Auditorium on Mýtna Street in Bratislava, where our faculty was located at the time. The event was attended by former students from all fields of study taught back then at the former Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Slovak Technical University.

Ceremonial Speeches and Glimpses into the Past and Present
The attendees were formally addressed by the Dean of the faculty, Professor Vladimír Kutiš: “I am convinced that just as prominent figures of Slovak technology shaped you during your years of study, you too have shaped your surroundings during the subsequent years of your lives. And for this, you deserve a huge thank you!”
The atmosphere of the event was further enhanced by speeches from two representatives of the graduates themselves – engineers Arjun Kumar Shresth and Jozef Zlatňanský.

The official part concluded with a presentation on the current events and developments at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. This gave the graduates an opportunity to see how the faculty has progressed over the past 50 years and what its current life looks like.
Precious Time Among Former Classmates
After the final notes of the student anthem faded, the program continued with an informal session. The guests gathered for a joint lunch, providing them with the opportunity to revive old friendships and reminisce about their youth. As one of the graduates noted: "We used to visit this place as young students for lectures in mathematics, electrical measurement, and other subjects during our first three years of study. So the memory of our youth was very vivid and present."
As a keepsake of this day, each of them took home a lovely gift – a commemorative book. This year's Golden Graduation served as a reminder to us all that the bond with one's alma mater does not fade with time. The positive feedback from the participants confirmed the exceptional nature of the event, with one summarizing it in these words: "Thank you once again for everything. It was an unforgettable day in my life."

We would like to thank our graduates for their lifelong work, through which they have spread the good name of the faculty, and we wish them nothing but the very best!
