On Tuesday, June 23, 2026, the ASAI AI Personality of the Year 2026 gala evening took place at the BVS Water Management Museum in Bratislava, organized by the AI Association – ASAI as part of the SKAI Conference. The award highlights individuals who responsibly and practically advance artificial intelligence in Slovakia – from education, science, and innovation to solutions with a real societal impact.
In the AI Student of the Year 2026 category, 3th place was awarded to our doctoral student from the Institute of Multimedia Information and Communication Technologies, Ing. Šimon Tibenský. 1st place went to Miroslav Cibula, and 2nd place to Erik Božík.
The laureates were selected by a 13-member expert jury led by the Chairman of the ASAI Board of Directors, Róbert Gašparovič. The jury evaluated dozens of applications and determined the final ranking based on a scoring system.
The award ceremony itself was preceded by the day-long SKAI Conference, which delivered a comprehensive program on artificial intelligence in the Slovak context. The event attracted more than 250 participants and featured 22 leading speakers across four content blocks.
