The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology is one of the seven faculties of the Slovak University of Technology, the oldest and largest university of technology in Slovakia. The Faculty was founded in 1941. Since that time, the increasing progress in electrical engineering and information technology has been mirrored by an increase in size and diversity of its research involvement and teaching. Its substantial lines are: modern, internationally accepted university study, intensive scientific research and development, cooperation with academic and industrial partners in Slovakia and abroad. Since 1993, the Faculty has established a new system of university study, conceived in terms of European trends of university education development. It is a three-stage system of study, fully compatible with the terms of the Bologna declaration and with other relevant international documents. |
