For example, space research, but also volcanoes exploration is carried out by automatically working devices. You would not like to buy a computer or a car without automatic systems built in them. These systems are realized on cybernetic principles using modern information technologies. Transport security, automatic control of power distribution systems, diagnosing of badly diseased patients are but three examples out of many where graduates of Industrial informatics can find their application. They also work as programmers, as designers of intelligent control systems (including administrative) or as creators of specialized computer networks etc.
