Lots of young people have mobile phones. It has become quite a common thing to use connection to the Internet via classical telephone connector. Nowadays computer, mobile and telephone networks are all part of one complex set of equipment. The professional task of graduates of Telecommunications study programme is to make these technologies available to a larger number of people. A graduate apart from their knowledge of mathematics, physics, electrical engineering and electronics gains knowledge from the selected areas of telecommunications, like digital communications, telecommunication technology, signal processing, transfer systems, connection systems, mobile and satellite communications, telecommunication lines, communication protocols, but also knowledge from the field of informatics and information systems. They can learn to realize e.g. videoconferences, i.e. simultaneous transfer of sound, picture and data signals.
Graduates find application as project managers, designers, construction workers, systems designers and above all they are being sought after as specialists by operators of mobile and land telecommunications network and by telecommunications service providers, even in civil service and ministries sector, in gasworks and power engineering companies and in the banking sphere.
