Doctoral study program Electrical Power Engineering prepares graduates, which are characterized by master skills in chosen specific parts of mathematics, applied informatics, physics and theoretical electrical engineering, related to the focus topic of the final thesis, which are connected to specific professional disciplines in the field of theoretical power electricity, production, distribution and exploitation of electricity, high voltage techniques, lighting technique or electrical heat technique, as well as environmental and economic aspects of electrical power engineering and its management.
Specialized knowledge base of professional profile consists of a number of alternatives, such as the impact of electricity facilities on the environment, new trends in design and design of electrical stations, the influence of the parts of power plant on the safety and reliability of the plant, new directions in the management of ES using elements of artificial intelligence, discharge activity in insulating systems of HV, EHV and UHV equipment, and its measurement, interior and exterior lighting and modeling, mathematical and physical modeling in development of power system operation, marketing and management in electricity trading, rationalization of electricity and other forms of energy.
Graduate will acquire skills and abilities: the ability to analyze the economic and environmental context of technical works and processes of the electrical power industry, the ability of scientific research and deliver new solutions for the theory and practice, presentation of results and the ability of interested professional and scientific opinions.
