Since 1993, the faculty has implemented a new university study system, designed in line with European trends in the development of higher education. It is a three-level system of study, fully compatible with the principles of the Bologna Declaration as well as other relevant international documents.
The mission of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, as one of the oldest technical faculties in Slovakia with a rich tradition of scientific and research activities, is primarily to provide high-quality university education at all levels, based on free scientific inquiry and creative research work.
In the field of science and research, the faculty’s mission is to provide an environment for free scientific inquiry and creative research for its teachers, researchers, and students, in order to make full use of their intellectual potential with the maximum multiplier effect through the dissemination of research results via teaching activities. As a technically oriented faculty, aware of its partial responsibility for the development of Slovakia’s economy, it also actively participates in transferring scientific results into practice.
