Second-year students of nuclear and physical engineering had the opportunity to experience the nuclear power plant in Mochovce.
They visited the control room simulator, where they simulated a situation with a failure of the main feedwater pumps, turbogenerator, and ultimately an automatic reactor shutdown. Later, they continued with a tour of the emergency control room and the spent fuel pool handling machine simulator, which is used for simulating and training the procedure for loading and exchanging fuel in the reactor.
Another similar excursion is planned for the next semester.
