Pozývame vás na prednášku zahraničného profesora Dr. ir. Prasanth Venugopal na tému Battery Electronics: From Cells to Intelligent Systems. Prednáška je otvorená aj pre verejnosť.
Kedy: 18. máj 2026, 10:00
Kde: E601
O čom bude prednáška:
This presentation outlines the opportunities and challenges in the R&D of battery electronic systems and their applications. The content is based on the research projects carried out at the power electronics group at U Twente. Topics covered include battery diagnostics and monitoring (e.g., impedance-based methods), integration of power electronics in battery systems, safety and reliability aspects of battery packs, and emerging trends such as second-life batteries and digital twin approaches for energy storage systems.
O hosťovi:
Dr. ir. Prasanth Venugopal received the M.Sc. degree in Electrical Power Engineering from Delft University of Technology, Delft, the Netherlands, and the Ph.D. degree from the same institution. His doctoral research focused on advanced magnetic energy transfer systems and wireless power technologies. From 2016 to 2020, he worked in industry, contributing to the development of wireless electric vehicle charging systems and xEV power supplies at leading organizations, including Qualcomm and TDK Corporation. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Power Electronics group at the University of Twente, Enschede, the Netherlands, where he leads research activities in battery electronics. His work focuses on the integration of power electronics with battery systems, covering battery diagnostics (including impedance spectroscopy), advanced battery management systems, safety-oriented pack design, and second-life battery applications.
